The Symmetrical Diminished Scale is an 8 note scale that has a very simple construction. It's constructed by alternating whole and half steps and sounds very sophisticated and colorful.

The question many have, is how to play it on the fretboard. There are so many interesting options for doing that, but here I'm demonstrating a very visual and simple 4 note pattern. It's a very useful one, that can be blended with pentatonic scales and blues scales.
