Metal Shaping: Jaguar E-Type Aluminum Bonnet Build (Part 7B)

Metal Shaping: Jaguar E-Type Aluminum Bonnet Build (Part 7B)

In part 7A Wray shaped a piece of sheet metal to create the center section of the bonnet to fill the area of his flexible shape pattern. After step 1: Gross development of the shape Wray now refines the surface quality of the panel while ensuring his area value doesn't change. Once the center section (Power bulge as Wray calls it) fits the F.S.P. perfectly he then puts the panel into arrangement. Stay tuned for 7C where Wray will tip the edges and ensure the arrangement is correct through the use of the gauges.
