In US news and current events today, Pro choice advocate Cherisse Scott was silenced by lawmakers on abortion related issues in the Tennessee halls of government. Scott was speaking out against a pro life effort to create an abortion ban in the state. The pro choice pro life debate is hardly a local news issue. Across the country state lawmakers are trying to enact new abortion law that would threaten womens rights with the hope of getting the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade.
