DISCUSSION | SA SME Fund investing R1.2bn in black businesses Entrepreneurs and start-ups are always looking for money to make their dreams a reality. And tonight we're speaking to the megafund of SMEs in South Africa that has R1.2 billion to play with.
A couple of years ago 50 corporates got together to invest in the development of small and medium black companies and pledged the cash to the SA SME Fund. It has since launched the CEO Circle which is tasked with up-scaling middle-sized businesses into companies that turn over R500 million a year.
To discuss this we're joined by the CEO of the SA SME Fund, Ketso Gordhan. We're also joined by one of the CEO Circle Entrepreneurs, Thuso Koboyatau who is the co-founder and financial director of TSK Interiors.
