JOOQ - Straightforward, non-ORM persistence alternative using JOOQ | Tomer Rothschild - CloudShare

ORMs promise a powerful abstraction over the DB, but as the project grows ORMs tend to exhibit unexpected performance. JOOQ provides an interesting alternative. JOOQ is a library to write type-safe SQL in the JVM. In this talk, I'll cover what ORM pains JOOQ solves or avoids, and how we leveraged its power in building the persistence layer of Cloudshare's next-generation backend.
