Xi Jinping warns attempts to split China will lead to 'crushed bodies, shattered bones'

During a visit to Nepal, Chinese President Xi Jinping warned that any attempts to split the country will lead to "bodies smashed and bones ground to powder". His comments came as violent protests have erupted in Hong Kong for the 19th straight weekend. It also comes amid rising tensions with Taiwan, and growing international scrutiny over alleged human rights violations
in Xinjiang. Beijing has blamed foreign interference for the escalation of violence in Hong Kong.
