BREXIT: Boris Johnson plays the waiting game over UK Commissioner, EU's deadline looms

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has still not responded to the EU demands to nominate a European Commissioner from the United Kingdom.

The European Commission launched legal action against the UK over its failure to nominate a new EU commissioner.

The deadline expires tomorrow midnight, EU Commission spokeswoman Mina Andreeva said during a regular news briefing today in Brussels.

If the United Kingdom does not answer before the deadline, the EU will reflect on the next steps throughout the week-end and will react on Monday.
