FACTORS AFFECTING THE RATE TRANSPIRATION GCSE Biology 9-1 | Combined Sci

FACTORS AFFECTING THE RATE TRANSPIRATION GCSE Biology 9-1 | Combined Sci Woohoo, this is the last video in the Organisation Topic! Revise the full topic with my Studyalong Workbook and placemats - available from www.emmatheteachie.com.

In this video, we take a look at the factors affecting the rate of transpiration.

I’ll start by explaining why factors that affect the rate of photosynthesis also affect the rate of transpiration - there are two main ones here.

Then we’ll look at two more factors that affect the rate of evaporation - remember, evaporation is what drives transpiration! Without the evaporation of water, there wouldn’t be any water loss.

Next, we’ll consider plant adaptations for water loss. Plants want to minimise this, so they can have a waxy cuticle, wilt, and close their stomata.

Finally, we’ll cover some quick questions so you can check what you’ve understood.

Please SUBSCRIBE if you found this helpful - it means you’ll see when my next topics are up & of course, you’ll be helping me out too!

Thanks for watching!
