Dairy farmers from Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties have told the government to check cheap milk imports from Uganda which are spoiling the market of the local farmers by reducing the selling price of the product The farmers note that before the influx of cheap milk from the Pearl of Africa, prices were stable but since the glut happened, milk prices per litre have fallen from Sh.43 to Sh.17
On Building Bridges Initiative(BBI), the dairy farmers said that they will reject the report if their interests are not addressed
