Most of them except EDC, find it hard to self-sustain and survive on grants, subsidies, guarantees and borrowings. 2017 CAG report states that there has been a total turnover of around ₹ 912 Cr. With the latest news about formation of Mineral Corporation of the multi crores turnover mining business, the viability of such an endeavour considering these glaring examples is in question.
