In order to drive business growth, they would like to process this data. However, personal data falls within the scope of privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD. This means that businesses must have obtained consent for each and every purpose that they want to process the data for. The only practical way to satisfy these regulations and still drive business growth is to anonymize or de-identify the data effectively, taking it out of scope. Anonymizing the data must be approached with an advanced solution, such as privacy automation, that: (1) automatically detects, directly and indirectly, identifying information, (2) calculates the risk of re-identification, (3) enables flexible privacy actions to reduce the risk while retaining analytical value, and (4) generates an audit report.
