Bolivia's interim government appoints first US envoy in 11 years Bolivia has appointed an ambassador to the United States for the first time in more than a Bolivia's new interim government under President Jeanine Anez is undoing many of the policy changes former President Evo Morales introduced.
Anez has brought in sweeping changes to the military and has broken off relations with Venezuela.
But also worrying to many indigenous groups is their political and social future in the country as elections loom.
Morales helped raise their standard of living and appointed some in the community to positions of power.
