Jeffrey Deitch Talks About Art Exhibited In The Miami Design District During Art Week 2019 Jeffrey Deitch talks about the Miami art exhibit he presented in collaboration with Gagosian during Miami Art Week in 2019. The exhibit, entitled “The Extreme Present,” featured the work of over 50 artists and was on display in the historic Moore Building December 3-8, 2019.

In this video, Jeffrey Deitch shows and speaks about works in the Miami exhibit by artists Sayre Gomez, David Salle, Frank Benson, Tabor Robak, Nicholas Galanin, and Josh Kline. As Deitch explains, the exhibit showed “how artists are engaged with the world today.”

The title of the exhibit was inspired by the book The Age of Earthquakes: A Guide to the Extreme Present by Shumon Basar, Douglas Coupland, and Hans Ulrich Obrist, published in 2015.

The 2019 exhibit marked the fifth annual thematic exhibit presented by Jeffrey Deitch and Gagosian in the Moore Building in the Miami Design District during Art Week. Jeffrey Deitch is a prominent American art dealer and curator and Gagosian is a gallery brand with spaces around the world.
