Let’s Play BG2 EE #168: Welcome to the Fifth Floor

The fifth level of Watcher’s Keep is the penultimate level of the fortress and the final full floor. It’s also a place split into three sections, each containing tests which prevent the unworthy from gaining access to the Imprisoned One through the final seal. If we’re to do what we agreed to – a quest accepted so long ago that you’d be forgiven for it slipping your mind – we’re going to need to pass those tests.

One of the tests requires the completion of another to access and I’m not going to tackle them in any particular order, as they all have their own challenge. Despite how high level and well equipped our party is, it’s best not to underestimate anything on this floor in particular, as there’s a danger which isn’t readily apparent upon entering it. What that is we’ll find out in due time after we’ve passed the tests and earned the keys to the final seal.
