If you plan to use tyres during the winter season, make sure that they are approved for winter use. When it comes to winter tyres, they will of course always be approved, or at least they should be to be able to be sold as winter tyres. This is not always true when it comes to all-weather tyres or some other more all-round type of tyre. You might be fooled into believing that the tyres are winter approved, but they are not. The all-season tyres that are available in North America, sounds like they would be usable during the winter season, but this is not the case. The all-season tyres cover all seasons except the winter season. Here you instead should use winter approved all-weather tyres.
