Before the Magi even entered the house to find the Baby Jesus, they were overcome with joy. They knew that he was to be the King of the Jews and they knew they wanted to worship him. If you have ever held a baby you know that if you do it right it becomes your everything. Picking up Jesus means he becomes our everything and then we might need to put something else down--our egos, our anger, our selfishness. And once we find the Baby Jesus we can offer the gift of ourselves.
