When Idi Amin asked 90000 Indians to leave Uganda in 90 days. 4 August 1972 Uganda The year 1972 saw a very unfortunate event. Approximately 80000 Asians were thrown out of Uganda by the order of then-president of Uganda – Idi Amin. Three months' notice was given and the Asians which were people of undivided India (Bangladesh, Pakistan and India) were asked to leave Uganda.
