13 Hours of Heat From One Log...Rocket Stove Gasifies Log and Bench Holds Heat

We used 3/4 of one standard sized log to run the stove for six hours. As soon as the air in the cabin and the pebbles in the mass warmed up I shut the air to the stove down so that the fire went out. Thirteen hours later I came back to our little off grid cabin in single digits outside (fahrenheit) and it was as warm as my big house (around 70 degrees). The floor is not insulated, only the walls and ceiling. This is pretty neat.
