CarMax offer that is incredibly insulting!

Carmax makes offer after complete lapse in customer service, safety checks, and providing me a dangerous vehicle.

Completely slap me in the face after not only my self, but my mother were almost splattered on I4 after the car had a severe mechanical failure and went into a “limp mode” because they didn’t properly inspect the vehicle.


Limp mode is a self-preservation feature programmed into most vehicles. ... Performance of your vehicle will be greatly reduced by the computer to prevent major damage but allow you “limp” your car home, a nearby auto repair shop, or simply off to the shoulder where a tow truck can be called.

Sadly the limp mode immediately reduces performance, not gradually. Which in our case, almost made us a 20/20 CarMax statistic. We could have been killed because of their negligence and they don’t give a shit.
