China confirms lowest number of new COVID-19 cases since late January

China confirms lowest number of new COVID-19 cases since late January On Feb 20, China reported the lowest number of new COVID-19 cases in a month. 394 infections were reported, the lowest daily toll since late January. The fall is mainly due to another change in the way patients are diagnosed. Previously, officials included patients who were diagnosed from CT scans alone. Now, the new criteria only includes people who have undergone genetic testing. Outside of the epicentre of Hubei, there are some signs of stabilisation. Several provinces and cities have reported no new confirmed cases, including Shanghai, Shanxi and Fujian.
