Editor-in-Chief of Stellar Magazine Sarrah Le Marquand says it is a “lose-lose scenario” in the household for women to assume the role of the traditional wife, as the “tradwife craze” gains momentum around the world. “Does a grown man in 2020 really need his wife to devote herself full-time to cooking and cleaning for him,” Ms LeMarquand said.
“Absolving women of any responsibility to contribute to a household's earnings only increases the pressure on men to become the sole breadwinner.
“[It’s] a lose-lose scenario at a time when more working fathers want to better balance their careers with raising their children.”
