This assignment requires you to analyze at least three images that you find particularly interesting. When you look at the following photographs, consider how the photographer tells the story and draws you in. How does the photographer use location, subject matter, colors, light, and composition to connect with you, the viewer?
Submit a written summary that answers at least 3 of the following questions for each image. Pause, rewind, and re-watch the video as many times as necessary to fully experience each image.
What do you think the subject is in this photograph? Where do you think the photographer stood when he took this picture, what was his vantage point? How did the photographer draw your interest in to the picture?
How does this image make you feel, and when you look at it, how much of the emotion invoked by the image was conveyed by the photographer; how much of it was evoked by your individual life experiences?
Any truly impressive photograph is one that communicates an emotion/feeling, and draws the viewer into the scene.
