7 - Why do Retail CBD Companies HIDE Certificate of Analysis (COA's) & Will FDA Crack Down
“It's probably a LACK OF CBD QUALITY CONTROL.“
“A lot of these people out there are in to make a quick buck, and if you put your COA's out there for every product and every lot – you are advertising to the world exactly what you are going to get in the CBD bottle. If you don't take the time to make sure that what you say is in the bottle is actually in the CBD bottle, then you probably AREN'T going to want to post a COA.”
Hint: If reading a C.O.A. and you see it says “ND” for CBD (THAT IS A HUGE PROBLEM, yet so common in 2020)
^OR “Less than LOQ – Limit of Quantitation” (smallest amount the laboratory can reliably tell you is in the CBD bottle.)
“Being non compliant is a great way to grab the FDA's attention. Starting with Improper Medical claims on Websites, etc. They are going to have to allow the CBD industry to exist, but having COA's and doing things compliantly is the easiest way for FDA to wrap their head around the CBD industry in a positive way”
