Hand Calculate the Kinetic Energy of All Electrons in a Room

Hand Calculate the Kinetic Energy of All Electrons in a Room I hand calculated the kinetic energy of all electrons in a typical lecture room at the Central Washington University. I assumed the electrons in the room have zero potential energy and form a uniform electron gas. The calculated KE is much smaller than the true value because the electrons in air are much more confined to the nuclei than I assumed. Nonetheless, I showed you how the kinetic energy of electrons can be estimated given the electron density function of x, y, and z.
