I wanted to start by just getting into why the heck we use trees in so many holiday traditions. There are many different types of trees we use around the holidays, and "Christmas" trees can be Pines, Firs, Spruces, even CYPRESS trees! They are from a range of different genera and families, but they all represent growth and rebirth during hard times.
