WATCH: Both 'honor and disappointment' to be lone candidate of color in debate, Yang says Democratic debate moderators noted that entrepreneur Andrew Yang is the only candidate of color on the stage tonight. When asked what message this sends to voters of color, Yang said it was both “an honor and disappointment” to be the lone candidate of color in this Democratic debate. Yang is one of the seven Democrats vying for their party's 2020 presidential nomination who met on the stage for the sixth Democratic debate on Dec. 19, hosted by the PBS NewsHour and POLITICO.
