Who is Camille Schrier?
Camille Schrier is a 24-year-old beauty pageant who was crowned Miss America 2020 on Thursday night at the Mohegan Sun Earth Expo & Convention Center in Uncasville, Connecticut.
She is Miss Virginia. She celebrates her birthday on 1st July of every year. She was born in Newtown, Virginia, to father, Tom Schrier, and mother, Cheryl Schrier.

Schrier has two Cum Laude Bachelor of Science degrees from Virginia Tech in Biochemistry and Systems Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
She is currently studying to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
Schrier is a two-time recipient of both the Alice and Luther Hamlett Scholarship and Alice and Luther Hamlett Undergraduate Research Support Grant.
She performed a chemistry demonstration during the talent portion at the 2020 Miss America Competition. During her talent portion, she demonstrated the catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide by adding potassium iodide to hydrogen peroxide, food coloring, and dish soap. “Don’t try this at home,” she joked. For the demonstration’s big finish, spouts of colorful foam rocketed out of the beakers.
With her unique performance, she wowed celebrity judges Lauren Ash, Kelly Rowland and Karamo, who offered post-performance commentary to all of the women, America’s Got Talent.
Miss America is a one-year paid position. Not only has she earned a $50,000 scholarship, a six-figure salary and work with “professionals passionate about creating more opportunities for women,” according to a representative for the organization.
Her platform is in line with this stunning scientist’s personality—Mind Your Meds: Drug Safety and Abuse Prevention from Pediatrics to Geriatrics. But she is also an inspiration to young kids who see the fun in science, thanks to her.
