Wu Lei rescued a late point for Espanyol in their derby vs. La Liga champions Barcelona. The hosts - who are bottom of the table, took a surprise first-half lead through David Lopez's header. Barca looked in control thanks to Luis Suarez's first-time finish and Arturo Vidal's header, but they had Frenkie de Jong sent off for two bookings. ESPN FC’s Steve Nicol however, takes aim at Lionel Messi’s performance saying “he was just awful” in their 2-2 draw that still leaves them top of the La Liga table albeit by goal difference only following Real Madrid’s 3-0 vs. Getafe earlier in the day.
