The Samsung Galaxy Fold is not just any smartphone, it's a phone and a tablet in one. in fact, I'd rather call it a folding tablet, and not a folding phone. I've had it for a while now and It has served me very well, I enjoy using it every day, I've pushed it to its limits and I love it. That's not to say it's all been smooth sailing with the Fold tho, it does have its own flaws too and I feel they are things that could be easily fixed on the next generation. So what's been my experience with it?
- I love having the option of a phone with the front display, and although the front display is tiny, it's still usable in most cases for me, but I'd like to see it stretched a little and wider too so I can actually enjoy it as a phone, and have the extended display as an alternative when I need to do more or need a bigger display, for example, if I need to multi-task or watch movies.
- App compatibility with the aspect ratio and cutout on the big screen when gaming
- Speaker placement
- Crease on the display
- No water and dust resistant, but don't let it fool you
- It feels slow over time compared to when I first took it out of the box
- no memory card expansion option, although you get big storage built-in
- App continuity options
- The gaming experience is amazing
- a little bit of play in the hinge after a while
- Just like the S10, you can expect a really good camera performance both in daylight and night time. I actually like the night mode on it because it comes out very natural
- Excellent battery life with wireless charging and fast charge too out of the box.
