[Hack Author] TROM [Hack Page]
The second entry in the TROM trilogy of hacks I decided to play through, Hydellius is another halfhack, but somewhat more well hidden at the start. It involves an interesting gate system, that could have been really great and interesting if done more like Hyper Metroid and just locked off the end game. Instead, they lock off progression and force you to travel all over in what feels like an unnatural extension of playtime for no other reason than to make the player run around more pointlessly.
Progress is still underway, but it's more item collection than finding where to go. Still though, this is good, but the frustration is definitely coming back with lack of actual progress.
