Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman Set in the PAST Because of SEXISM?!

According to a new article on Comic Book Resources, most female led superhero movies are set in the past to avoid dealing with modern day sexism. Huh?! Never mind that there are several examples of male led superhero movies that are period pieces (Captain America, Joker and Wolverine to name a few.) But yes, Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel being set a few decades ago (because they're prequels) is problematic. Slow news day, CBR?
