Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong on Tuesday (Mar 3) warned that Singapore needs to be prepared for new spikes in coronavirus cases. "There are likely to be many undetected cases in countries that are not undertaking proactive testing ... So despite our best efforts, we have to be prepared for new spikes in COVID-19 cases in Singapore, as has happened elsewhere," the co-chair of the Multi-Ministry Taskforce for COVID-19 said.
