Who Made It Through Winter? - Spring Beehive Check & Pollen Substitute

Who Made It Through Winter? - Spring Beehive Check & Pollen Substitute Today I went into each hive and checked their stores and added dry sugar to the colonies that needed it. I discovered a few weaker hives and unfortunately one hive had died. I cleaned it out and left the honey for the other bees to find. I also added pollen substitute to the pollen feeder to give the bees a little kickstart to any brood rearing if the queens are ready to start laying. Overall, things are looking great at this early point in the season.
