John grew up in a family that participated in Farm Bureau. Last year John started his first term on the board and he is thrilled to be able to give back to the community, other than his participation on the Hamilton County 4-H Board. John wants to have a broader voice in the community because that voice will potentially be heard in the state. John loves the social aspect of FB. interacting with others is a great feature of the organization for him. John has been married to his wife, Karen, for 15 years and they have a very agriculturally active son. John works on his family farm, a small cattle operation. Other than farming, John runs a family owned masonry business. He can’t stress enough the importance of getting involved with the community through organizations, such as FB, FFA, and 4-H because without participation, our voice will never be heard.
